We were planning to head for Frankfort, Michigan today.(Plan A) But as we entered Lake Michigan, the wind and waves were just too much for our comfort, so we decided to turn back and enjoy another day or two at the beautiful Charlevoix Marina. They also have cable TV so we can continue to watch the exciting Republican Convention.
Free advice for boaters who do this trip: Allow for weather days and don't have the attitude that you must go on because you are tough and can handle it. We've heard too many stories of miserable experiences surrounding the "get there itis" syndrome. We learned that on Lake Ontario.

Glad to hear that you learned your lesson.. Don't rush it.. and thanks again for taking time to keep us updated on your trip. I always take a look each evening before I go to bed to see if there is anything new. It's so nice to keep in touch this way. Mom is doing MUCH better in her new place. Enjoying the fellowship with the other residents. So nice to see Larry and Judy in the pictures. We send our love to all.
